松本市立博物館で江戸時代へタイムスリップ｜3階・常設展レポート Matsumoto City Museum: A Time Travel to the Edo Era
松本市立博物館の３階、常設展示を見学してきました。
松本城のすぐそばにあり、2023年にリニューアルされたばかりの建物です。
落ち着いた雰囲気の中で、松本の歴史・文化・自然を体感できる空間でした。
I visited the permanent exhibition on the 3rd floor of Matsumoto City Museum.
Located next to Matsumoto Castle, the newly renovated building offers an immersive experience of the city’s rich history, culture, and nature.
🏛 外観と館内の雰囲気 / Entrance & Lobby
大きなガラス張りの建物はとても開放的。中に入ると木のぬくもりを感じるロビーが広がります。
天井には信州らしい手まりのようなオブジェが吊るされていて、遊び心のある空間です。
The glass-paneled entrance feels spacious and modern. Inside, the wooden interior and hanging “temari” ball mobiles give the space a warm and artistic touch.
🏯 城下町のジオラマ / Edo-period Castle Town Diorama
江戸時代の松本城と城下町を精巧に再現したジオラマ。
石垣や堀、町の区画まですべてが緻密に作られていて、しばらく見入ってしまいました。
The diorama depicts Matsumoto Castle and its surrounding town during the Edo period with impressive detail. From the stone walls to the waterways, it’s like peeking into history.
⛵ 龍が引く「宝船」展示 / The Magnificent Takarabune (Treasure Ship)
迫力ある龍の頭と、帆に描かれた「寶」の文字。七福神や楽器など、縁起物が船いっぱいに乗っています。
お正月の展示としても人気だそうです。
The ship features a dragon’s head, a grand sail with the character “寶” (treasure), and many auspicious figures. A beautiful example of traditional festive display.
🛍 ミュージアムショップも充実 / Museum Shop Highlights
松本だるまや松本城モチーフの雑貨、ティーバッグなど可愛いお土産が並びます。
地元のクラフトや伝統が感じられる品ぞろえです。
The museum shop offers a variety of charming items—from Matsumoto daruma dolls to castle-themed teabags. It’s a great spot to find local crafts.
