I started the day by visiting Yohashira Shrine in central Matsumoto, then strolled through the nearby Nawate Street.
カエルの像やレトロな雰囲気に包まれた商店街は、どこか懐かしく、歩くだけでも楽しい気分に。

鳥居をくぐると、木々の緑が心を静かにしてくれました🌿
Passing under the torii gate, I found myself surrounded by greenery—it was calming and refreshing.
カフェでほっとひと息 A Cozy Café Break
歩き疲れた頃に立ち寄ったのが「STORYHOUSE CAFE & BAR」。
After a bit of walking, I took a break at STORYHOUSE Café & Bar.
白いレンガの建物に、木のテーブル、たっぷりのグリーンに囲まれたオープンテラス。
The white brick building, wooden tables, and lush greenery on the open terrace created a relaxing atmosphere.
18時間かけて抽出された水出しアイスコーヒーと、しっとりとしたキャロットケーキをいただきました。
I enjoyed a smooth cold brew iced coffee, brewed over 18 hours, paired with a moist carrot cake.
スパイスとナッツの香ばしさ、やさしい甘さに癒されました。
The hint of spices and nutty flavor with just the right sweetness brought me so much comfort.

このカフェにはこれまでに3回来店していますが、毎回スタッフさんの対応が素晴らしく、
来るたびにとても楽しい気分にさせてくれます。
This was actually my third visit to STORYHOUSE, and each time I’m impressed by the wonderful service—the staff always make me feel welcome and uplifted.
日本のお客様はもちろん、外国からの旅行者もとても多く、
店内にはいろんな国の言葉が飛び交う、国際色豊かな空間です。
The café is visited by many Japanese locals, but also a large number of international travelers, creating a warm, multicultural atmosphere.
店内には世界地図や楽器、ギャラリーのような飾りが並び、
つい長居してしまいそうなほど心地よいカフェでした☕🍰
Inside, you’ll find world maps, musical instruments, and gallery-like displays—a place so cozy, it’s hard to leave.
